One of the nicest wedding venues in NJ is The one and only Westmount Country Club. This is the location Erin and Chris chose to celebrate with family and friends on their wedding day. To be honest, we had so much fun with this group that the day itself was a blur! After starting with the girls in the morning, it was off to the church for the ceremony and then on to Garrett Mountain park for the photos before heading over to The Westmount to party the evening away! One of the nicest parts of the day was seeing old friends again….we had the honor of photographing Chris’ brother’s wedding almost 10 years ago!
Erin and Chris actually are actually high school sweat hearts. I asked them to tell me the story and in Erin’s words: “Chris and I met in high school. We had SAT Prep together; it was broken into a section for math and then a section for English. We were in the math portion and I heard his last name called and was interested to see what he looked like because I remember his mom being my kindergarten teacher. We ended up on opposite ends of the room and never spoke, until we got to the English section. I heard his name called again and when I looked up he was right across from me. I remember thinking he was cute. We also had gym and intro to business classes together. We had some mutual friends in these classes and that was the icebreaker that got us talking. Especially in gym class where his lackluster soccer skills were an easy talking point.” Chris also added: “I am just very glad that we had mutual friends in some of our classes. I was somewhat shy and probably would not have had the nerve to talk to her without my friends being around.” Well, in the end, I am very glad Chris worked up the nerve to talk to Erin all those years ago and that it led up to their fantastic wedding at The Westmount Country Club. Thanks again for letting us be a part of the day!
