We were back at the beautiful Basking Ridge Country Club late last fall for Kaitlin and Nicholas’ wedding celebration. What made this day extra special for Carrie and I is that the couple had their wedding mass in the same church we were married in! It was great to be back at St. Joseph’s after all this time. We started the day with the couple as they did their final preparations in the hotel. While unusual for a church wedding, the couple opted to do a first look at the hotel to relieve the nerves before the ceremony. I loved this idea because it immediately made all the jitters go away and the couple was able to be fully present and really take in the ceremony.
After their church service, we did some quick family photos at the church (it’s a captive audience…we don’t have to worry about losing people in travel) before heading over to Basking Ridge for the remainder of their photos and the reception. Thankfully, we were able to get a few quick photos with the bridal party outdoors at Basking Ridge before the rain had other plans for us! Some people would be upset with the weather but not these two. As you can see from the packed dance floor, this group came to have a good time!
