The Farmhouse Weddings | Christina + Cap

Carrie and I were back at The Farmhouse a couple of weeks ago to celebrate with Christina and Cap on their wedding day!  Their story began with a mutual love of Rugby and a series of chance encounters that ultimately led to the millennial right of passage in the exchanging of snapchats.  It wasn’t long before those snaps became dates and those dates became a lot more serious two years later when Cap surprised Christina on HIS birthday by hiking to the top of a mountain (she thought they were going to brunch after) and dropping down on one knee with a ring.  As Christina put it, while planning the “birthday” party she had planned for Cap that evening, she was actually planning her own engagement party!

The couple’s wedding day began in the early morning at The Farmhouse with preparations for the girls while the guys arrived in time to have a leisurely lunch before we had to head out into the heat for the photos.  As you can see in the photos below, I don’t think the hot weather bothered this crowd at all.  Sometimes having a super large bridal party like this can be a little like herding cats, but not with this crew.  I love it when our couples and friends really have a good time with their photos…it’s those memories we are striving to capture and hopefully we leave them with a new memory of the fun they had with the photo portion of their day.  After a (thankfully) short and heartfelt ceremony on the back lawn of The Farmhouse, it was off to the cool A/C of the ballroom for the party!  Christina’s dad even got up with the band to play a couple tracks!  We couldn’t have had a better time with this group and the fact that we walked out at the end of the night a sweaty mess is a testament to that.
