We traveled up to Ramsey on a hot summer afternoon to celebrate with Kim and Mike as they said their vows. The wedding reception was held at the beautiful Ramsey Golf and Country Club where the scenic grounds provide the perfect location for wedding photos! We actually only “met” Kim and Mike in person a few days prior to the wedding as they were coming in from out of state. All of our previous meetings were via skype and email. However, the story they shared of Mike’s proposal was one of my favorites and I have to share it with you.
The couple was vacationing in Europe and they were late arriving to their Venice destination due to a train strike. As Kim put it, Mike was very on edge all day, but she put it off to the travel delays. After dinner by the canal, they set off on a walk through St. Mark’s square where Mike dropped to a knee and proposed. Kim never saw it coming…she thought they were looking for Gelato! After all of the planning (from a distance I might add), Kim said they hoped their wedding would be remembered as simple, classic, and elegant. I think they pulled it off!
