NJ Farm Wedding | Kaitlin + Rocky

While we have some of the best wedding venues in the area, being from NJ, there is something special about a Farm wedding.  Kaitlin and Rocky invited their friends and family to celebrate their wedding at a family member’s farm in Hillsborough NJ.  The farmhouse on the property was the setting for the girls’ preparations, the ceremony was set up in a field of trees, and a white tent was added to the barn which served as the dancing headquarters for the night!  Speaking of that barn, Kaitlin did an amazing job of transforming it from a working farm barn to a beautiful wedding barn with tons of fantastic decorations.  As all the wedding events were happening on the farm, the couple chose to do first look photos so they could enjoy the time with each other and the bridal party before all the guests arrived.  The little bridge over the creek behind the house was the perfect place for Rocky to see his Kaitlin for the first time.  Then, being that we had the run of the property, the farm itself was the perfect place for photos!  The flow of the day was different than your traditional wedding.  After the ceremony, the guests moved to the barn area for “cocktail hour” which flowed seamlessly into the couple’s first dances and reception.  Food was served throughout the evening in more of a cocktail style flow instead of a traditional wedding seating.  This meant that the dance floor was open the entire time and these people knew how to party.  Blessed with fantastic weather for their day, we ended the evening with sunset wedding photos which were some of our favorites of the day.  You can see more including Kaitlin’s amazing details below!
