We took the ride out to French Creek Golf Club on a cool, rainy fall day to celebrate with Jess + Randy on their wedding day. This was our first time photographing a wedding at French Creek and I really hope it’s not our last…this place is beautiful! Even though it rained (heavily) for most of the day, we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people or a better location for this wedding. Our trusty white umbrellas got quite the workout but the bridal party and Jess and Randy were totally game to shoot in the rain. The hint of the fall colors through the mist made for some amazing photos! The indoor ceremony location at French Creek was also perfect…their large stone and beam barn was the perfect setting for the couple to exchange their vows. What struck Carrie and I the most about Jess and Randy were how totally at ease they were throughout the day. Not only with the less than ideal weather conditions, but truly with each other as well. Nothing was forced or static and you can really see their true expressions and their love for each other. They really made it easy for us to capture their story! As an added bonus, the rain let up just enough for us to sneak the couple outside for a few umbrella-free minutes during the reception for some quick photos! We were even able to do their sparkler sendoff at the end of the night!! Even with the challenging conditions, this was one of our favorite weddings of the year!!
