YOU + US
You’ve spent the time to plan out every aspect of your perfect wedding day. From the venue to your invitations and flowers, your wedding vision is a reflection of the experience you want your guests to remember. Every wedding and every story is different and we want to tell the story of the authentic you. It’s more than just the photography, it is how your photographs make you feel as you relive the experience of your wedding day.
We are there with you every step of the way. We’ll help you plan out the perfect timeline to make sure you’ll be there for every part of your wedding day. No rushing out for more photos or missing your cocktail hour. First and foremost, your photography time should be a part of your wedding experience, not something that is in the way of it! Our clients are more than a number, more than a subject to be photographed. Our clients are truly our friends.
HOW WE WORK
• Photojournalistic ninja meets romantic portraiture
• Bold, beautiful, true to life colors and timeless black and white images
• Subtle direction, not cheesy posing
It is the moments in between the action that often turn out to be the best ones! Let’s put you and your bridal party in the nice light and give you a little direction. This lets us get amazing photos of you in a beautiful setting with beautiful light, but what we’re also getting are the authentic moments in between; the little grin, the big laugh, the authentic you. What happens if there is no beautiful light? Simple…we make our own! We’re definitely not “hands off” photographers, but we’re also not about the stiff, static posing! Whether it’s day or night, timeless or epic, we’ll give you beautiful portraits and capture the moments that are truly “you.”

EVERY SPECIAL MOMENT
The wedding day is made up of a collection of moments. A heart-felt embrace, a tear of joy, and maybe even a few you will laugh at for years to come. As seasoned professionals, we not only have the technical knowledge, but also the experience to anticipate and capture the moments as they happen.
That isn’t to say that we won’t get all of the family formals and “mom will kill me if I don’t get this” photos. It is simply saying that we aren’t obtrusive and in your face all day. Some parts of the day require a little more direction and as professionals with more than 15 years of weddings under our belts, we know when to step in and when to watch as the moments happen organically.
We’re there to not only document your wedding story. We’re also there to support, help, and guide you as necessary. That’s what friends do!
WHO WILL PHOTOGRAPH MY WEDDING?
All of our standard wedding packages include two photographers. We are a husband/wife team and Matt is always the primary photographer. We only book one full event per day and for this reason, we take wedding bookings on a first come, first served basis.
In addition to the photographers, all wedding day coverage except for very small weddings includes a non-shooting assistant as well. Our assistant is there to help not only with our lighting and gear, but also to help you! Need us to carry something? No problem! Our assistants are provided at no additional charge to you!
DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT PACKAGES?
Just like each couple’s needs are unique, we believe in customizing a package that best fits your needs. Let’s chat about what you’re looking for and I’ll customize one of our collections to your exact needs. While many photographers offer only the digital image files, we are a full service studio. Most couples end up with a collection including 2 photographers, a bridal album, and the edited image files. All inclusive packages begin around $3000. In addition, we’ve created a new, inexpensive, micro-wedding package for couples who are holding smaller events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Drop me a note below and we’ll chat about putting together the perfect collection for you!
DO YOU OFFER ANYTHING FOR MICRO-WEDDINGS OR ELOPEMENTS?
YES! Just because you’re having a small, intimate wedding or eloping doesn’t mean you can’t have amazing photos! In this time of the “new normal”, we’ve created a special micro-wedding/elopement package for couples having smaller affairs that ensures you have memories from your ceremony and amazing photos of you, your bridal party, and families.
DO WE GET A WEDDING ALBUM?
ABSOLUTELY! We firmly believe in the power of physical prints. Almost every couple chooses a collection including a custom designed wedding album printed on real photographic paper. We’ll design an album to tell your wedding story that can be passed down for generations to come
WHAT ABOUT THE DIGITAL FILES?
Every collections includes the full set of edited image files from your wedding day. Of course, printing rights are included as well.
HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY HOURS WE NEED?
We will work with you to come up with a comprehensive timeline for your wedding day! As we only book one wedding per day, we have no other obligations except to you and we’ll put together a package that has exactly what you need without paying for hours you don’t.
Most weddings are between 7 and 10 hours of photography coverage which insures we’re there for all the big moments. Normally, we start about 1 to 2 hours of prep time before the ceremony or first look (more on that below). As for the end of the evening, most weddings begin to wind down about 45 min to 1 hour before the end. By then, we’ve got a ton of dancing photos and we don’t want your last 50 photos or so being the same ten people on the dance floor!
If you’re planning a send off at the end of the night such as sparklers, we will of course be there for that!
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED FOR THE "FORMAL" PHOTOS?
This can depend on the size of your bridal party and family dynamics, but for the typical wedding, we like to have about 1.5 to 2 hours for all the “formals.” This includes the photos with your immediate families, the bridal party, and of course, the photos of just the two of you!
DO WE NEED TO DO A "FIRST LOOK" AND DO THE PHOTOS BEFORE THE CEREMONY?
If you are having your ceremony and reception at the same location, then having a first look and getting your photos done before the ceremony is HIGHLY recommended!
When your ceremony and reception are at the same location, your cocktail hour will follow immediately after the end of your ceremony. If you choose to not do a first look, this means that we will have to squeeze all of your photos into the 45 minute period we have before you need to start lining up for your entrances. Not only will you and your bridal party miss your cocktail hour, but the photos themselves will tend to feel rushed and you may not get the variety of photos or locations you were hoping for.
Doing a first look allows you to enjoy not only your photo experience without the stress of running around, but it also allows you to participate in all aspects of your wedding day…cocktail hour included!
If you’re having a church ceremony or a ceremony off site, then you don’t have to do a first look as long as you plan to leave at least 2 hours between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of your cocktail hour.
We’ll work with you to come up with a timeline that give you plenty of time for stress-free photos and allows you to be fully involved in your wedding day!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
We try to get a few preview images posted on social media within a day or two of the wedding (even the day of in most cases). Your full, edited gallery is ready 6-8 weeks after the wedding (usually sooner)!
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?
There is no limit to the number of photos we deliver. A good rule of thumb is 80-100 finished photos per hour of coverage. For the average weddings, this is between 800-1100 images.
