“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
– Aaron Siskind
Weddings are fleeting. The cake is eaten, the flowers fade. At the end of the day, your photographs provide you with a way to relive the moment. You’ve planned the venue and perhaps even the dress already… deciding who will preserve the memories of your wedding is one of the most important decisions you will make. So how do you choose the perfect photographer for you?
I am going to be with you not only for most of the wedding day itself, but also during the planning before the wedding and afterwards as we finalize your keepsake albums and prints. Every wedding and every story is different and I believe it is important to get to know you as a couple. It is for this reason that I only shoot one event per day, and I never use contract photographers. My clients are more than a number, more than a subject to be photographed. My clients are truly my friends.
My style is a mix of photojournalistic ninja and romantic portraiture. I have to say that my favorite part of the day is probably the time I spend with you as a couple during your portraits. Whether it’s day or night, timeless or epic, I want to give you portraits that are truly “you.” While the family groups, all the details, and the manic dance party are definitely important, it is the photos of the two of you together that my clients really cherish.
The wedding day is made up of a collection of moments. A heart-felt embrace, a tear of joy, and maybe even a few you will laugh at for years to come. As seasoned professionals, we not only have the technical knowledge, but also the experience to anticipate and capture the moments as they happen.
You put a lot of time into the details of your day. From the dress, to the rings, to the room decor. It’s these little things that add to the uniqueness of your wedding day. Rest assured that we will provide you with lasting memories of all of your hard work and vision!
Have you been to a wedding where the couple is constantly being pulled out by the photographer for “one more photo”? This is NOT us! First and foremost, this is your wedding day and I firmly believe you should enjoy every second! By planning the timeline together, you will have plenty of time for all the important photographs without sacrificing your cocktail hour or reception. Hit the dance floor and have a great time…we’ve got your party covered.
Q: How do you describe your style?
Artistic, directed, but not “posed”
This is actually one of my favorite questions. I like to think of myself as an artist, not as a photographer pinned to one particular style. I approach each wedding as a story waiting to be told. My goal is to use images to tell the story of your day from the beginning to the end. This “style” of photography involves capturing the moments of the day and focusing on the things that are unique to you as a couple. I like to put you in the nice light and allow you to interact as a couple. We’re here to give direction and guidance, not stiff poses. I believe that the best portraits are the romantic moments that occur between you as a couple and we’re going to spend the time to give you epic portraits that you’ll love! That doesn’t mean we will not take the formal pictures of your family, friends, and bridal party as well. It just means that we don’t use a cookie cutter approach to our wedding photography.
